This year ANZAC Day commemorations were a bit different, at 5:50am on Saturday April 25th morning the streets started filling up with candle lights as Australian residents took to their driveways to remember the fallen soldiers. Usually, huge crowds would gather at war memorials and community halls each year to attend dawn services but to follow social distancing Australian residents were taking part in the home-bound tributes, which were no less significant or moving. The morning included musicians playing the Last Post in suburban streets and a moment of silence for the fallen heroes.
It was great to see so many people all over the country participating in the driveway tribute, it really showed the true Australian Spirit. The morning was full of emotion as it connected us like never before; to each other, our country and our history. We were able to join in spirit to remember the service and sacrifice that all the soldiers made for our country. We are proud to see so many of our employees showing their respects during these tough times.

The unique tribute promoted the spirit of mateship while maintaining social distancing. ANZAC Day 2020 will be one to remember.
